Terms of Service
In force since 5 September 2026
This copy is not complete. The operator's legal identity and contact address have not been configured on this deployment, so they are not shown rather than shown wrong. Everything below describes what the service actually does with your data.
1. What the service does
LGS downloads a web page, examines it across twelve areas, and returns a report of what it found with the evidence for each item and what to do about it. The findings are an informed diagnosis, not a certification: passing an LGS audit is not a guarantee that a site is secure, accessible or compliant, and no tool can promise that.
We do not promise any particular search ranking, traffic or revenue outcome. Anybody who does is selling you something else.
2. What you may point it at
A passive audit reads a page the way a visitor's browser would, and obeys
robots.txt and a polite request rate.
Anything more intrusive requires that you prove the domain is yours. Crawling a whole site, opening it in our browser, load testing and injection testing only run against domains you have verified. This is not only a rule here — the software enforces it, and it checks the host you actually land on after redirects, so a redirect cannot carry a scan onto somebody else's site.
You must not use this service to test, probe or overload a system you are not authorised to test. If you do, we will close your account.
3. Your account
- One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
4. What it costs
- Prices are in Australian dollars and include what the pricing page says they include. The plans on sale are Starter ($99/month), Growth ($249/month), Elite ($499/month).
- Every plan includes 90 audits per calendar month. Past those, you are not cut off: further audits are served and charged at $3.99 each. Cutting off a paying customer mid-month is the worse of the two options, and giving them away is the other.
- Every plan starts with 7 days free and full access to that plan. A card is required to start the trial. After the 7 days you are charged the plan's monthly price automatically (for example, $249/month for Growth), on the date shown before you start and again in the email we send two days before. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you are not charged.
- One free trial per business. If a trial has already been used with the same details, a new subscription starts billing from day one.
- When you subscribe, your monthly audits start fresh: audits used during the trial are not deducted from your first paid month.
- If you cancel during the trial, you keep access until the trial period ends. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not cut you off on the spot.
- Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not refund a month already running.
- If a monthly payment fails, we tell you and keep the plan running for 14 days while you update your card; after that the plan is paused, and nothing you created is deleted.
- One-off purchases are delivered as a report and are not refundable once the report has been produced, since that is the thing being bought.
None of this limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be contracted out of — in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law guarantees.
5. Availability
We aim to keep the service up and we do not offer a service level agreement. Audits are queued and can take longer when a site is slow to answer, which is a property of the site being audited rather than of the queue.
6. Your content
The URLs you submit and the reports produced from them are yours. We use them to run the service and for nothing else, and we do not publish them. See the Privacy Policy.
7. Fair use
Automated resale of audits, sharing one account across an organisation, or using the service in a way that degrades it for others are grounds for us to ask you to stop and, if it continues, to close the account.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with this service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit or lost data. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Ending it
You can close your account whenever you want. We can close it if these terms are broken — in particular the part about what you may point the service at — and we will tell you why.
